Fact File
Dimensions - ~300mm long x ~180mm wide
Scanned material - Predominantly cast aluminium
Time taken from scan to model - ~1 hour
Scanner used - RPC-S100
A centrifugal water pump that was originally apart of a BMW saloon's cooling system. The scanning process consisted of two scans (one per side) and took roughly 4 minutes. The automated processing time was 30 minutes and the post-production took roughly another 30 minutes.
Fact File
Dimensions - 1200mm wide x 250mm high
Printing material - ABS
CAD design time - 10-15 hours
Printing time - ~45 hours
Printer used - Raise3D N2+
A bespoke dashboard for a customer who was modifying a Triumph Spitfire mk III. The Triumph was being modified, among other things, for international travel, and so the dashboard needed to have all of the dials, warnings and controls on the middle console, as well as the capability to easily swap the position of the steering wheel from one side to the other.  The piece was printed in 5 parts (two black sections per side) and each black section was bonded together using ABS cement.

Dimensions - 90mm wide x 150mm high
Printing material - ABS
CAD design time - ~4 hours
Printing time - 8-10 hours
Printer used - Raise3D Pro 2
A custom suspension control panel designed for an RV in order to easily operate the vehicles ride height for parking and ramps onto ferries. The piece was designed from scratch by Replicate to house the suspension switches and the back-lighting, allowing the user to know the position of the air suspension at all times.

Dimensions - Varies
Printing material - ABS
CAD design time - 1 hour
Printing time - 12 hours (for 1 batch of 50 caps)
Printer used - Raise3D Pro 2
A range of end caps for shower screens for safety and aesthetic purposes. These end caps come in a variety of designs to match the extrusion profiles required and can be anywhere between 22-44 mm². Though they are typically made out of ABS, they can also be made using PLA. We also offer this is personalised colours, if the design of the shower screen requires it.

Dimensions - ~150mm long x ~110mm wide
Time taken from scan to model - ~1.5 hours
Scanner used - RPC-S100
A fossilised sea scorpion (Eurypterid) scanned for a private collector. The fossil  was scanned using an earlier iteration of our RPC-S range as part of a selection we scanned in a batch.

Dimensions - ~220mm long x ~110mm wide
Time taken from scan to model - ~2 hours
Scanner used - RPC-S100
A fish fossil scanned for a private collector. Originally hidden inside the rock, it has been split in half in order to reveal the specimen inside. The fossil  was scanned using an earlier iteration of our RPC-S range as part of a selection we scanned in a batch.

Dimensions - ~30x30 mm
Time taken from scan to model - ~1 hour
Scanner used - RPC-S100
An ammonite scanned for a private collector. This half of the specimen, it has been cut in half in order to reveal the inside of the creature. The fossil  was scanned using an earlier iteration of our RPC-S range as part of a selection we scanned in a batch.

Dimensions - ~220mm L ~130mm W ~100mm H
Scanned material - Bone
Time taken from scan to model - ~2 hours
Scanner used - RPC-S100
A skull and jaw separately from a Eurasian wolf (Canis lupus lupus) Replicate scanned for University of Southampton. The skull was scanned using our RTC-S120 as part of a collection of skeletal and taxonomic subjects.

Dimensions - ~180mm long x ~5mm diameter
Scanned material - Wood
Time taken from scan to model - ~1 hour
Scanner used - RPC-S100
A piece of rotting wood, used to demonstrate the range of textures and scales our RPC-S110 can accurately scan (since updated to the S120). The subject created a complex model because of the irregular fibrous surface on the inside.

Fact File
Dimensions - ~1900mm high x ~1200mm wide
Scanned material - Sedimentary rock
Time taken from scan to model - ~3 hours
Scanner used - RPC-G100
A Late Medieval Monastery wall portion scanned at a height of 6m . This was done manually using our RPC-G110 and took roughly 400 pictures to complete. . The two images below show the mesh and textured 3D models.
